Jeogori is an upper garment of Hanbok, Korean traditional clothes. It is a kind of today’s long sleeve jacket of the Joseon Dynasty(1392~1910). Both men and women wear the Hanbok but it has different ways to wear. Men wear it with pants while women wear it with a skirt.

Today I want to introduce you to Benet Jeogori. Benet is Korean word which means inside the womb or synonym word for newborn. Literally Benet Jeogori is used only for a newborn baby and usually worn after birth to 3rd months.

It is very important for a newborn baby to make an environment like a mother's womb. Banet Jeogori helps the baby warm. It is designed front opening and larger than other newborn baby clothes for clothing a baby easily so usually used with a swaddle.

Korean mothers usually keep their babies Benet Jeogori until they are adults and give their Benet Jeogori for a keepsake when they marry.
